If you are interested in taking AP Art History, all incoming 10-12th graders are welcome! It’s recommended that you have successfully taken Honors World Studies, British Lit, or AP Euro, but NOT required. Students with a disciplined work ethic and who have an interest in art, architecture, history, and/or world cultures are encouraged to join! NOTE: APAH is a Credit Plus Course!
Back to the beginning… Unit 1: Prehistoric, Ancient Near East, Egypt, & Africa
FABULOUS Field trip to Frank Gehry’s Disney Concert Hall, MOCA, a stop by Houdon’s George Washington sculpture in Grand Central Park, a “dip” into the Metro to check out mosaics after Faith Ringgold painting, and the onto the Norton Simon Museum.
UGH! So maybe we have been a little busy… We are now on the last –Unit 9: Art/Architecture of the 20th & 21st Century. This means it’s a great time to share some of my faves (bias!):
Current Topic: Unit 1= Prehistoric, Ancient Near East, Egypt & Africa

when your former students send you pics like this… because they GET IT!
Perhaps this suggests they have an excellent art education and are AWARE that art is everywhere 🙂
