Although summer is wonderful, Vaquero Visual Arts teachers have been preparing for the 2017-18 school year with lots of “behind the scenes” planning and activities.
In addition to creating curriculum for the new UC approved Intro to Photo Journalism course, and taking a cajillion “lookinforlight” photos, Mrs. Tucker has been steadily updating her APAH research. Among numerous places, summer travel included visits to Mesa Verde National Park (Cliff Palace & petroglyphs!), Taos Pueblo, Millicent Rogers Museum of Native American Art (Maria Martinez pottery) and a visit to the Annenberg Space for Photography.
Hopefully Ms. Lux will provide updates on her art adventures and her new addition: RUBY!
And Mrs. Perales will share Teo, travels, concerts, and Yearbook camp and AP workshops…
Ms. Phillips had a SUPER busy summer of travel, adventure and home improvements while working on the new Animation curriculum.
Mrs. Khurgel had a huge challenge with creating AP 2-D Design curriculum, Animation, and Computer Graphics… and then there’s her whole French gig… and baby Nathan to chase after!
Thank you for putting this together! The arts are a vital part of our world and we’ll be sure to share what is happening in our lives both in and out of the classroom throughout the year!
